Bassham graduated from Auburn University as a veterinarian in 1963, spent 4 years in the US Army Veterinary Corps(three of those years in Europe (Germany), was an instructor at the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine for 1 and 1/2 years, then joined his father (and later his brother) in a mixed animal practice in rural south Georgia. Dr. Bassham now works as a veterinarian with the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Dr. Bassham also frequently appears on radio shows and lectures at various conventions, all pertaining to natural health for both humans and animals.
